AMÚR Wien reconfigurates the way we taste, experience, think.

 

Cooking and eating are an immanent part of our lifes. Determined by the dynamics of rituals, customs, taboos, by permanent cultural exchange and development food serves as a natural nexus between us, the life cycles and the condition of the world.

 

Food that we taste, incorporate and digest is used by AMÚR Wien as artistic material and as a tool to make current issues sensually tangible. Performative installations and associative objects explore ways and limits of food, revealing the close bonds between nature and culture. As we willingly swallow unknown delicacies, new gates of perception will open up.
